London's Menier revives 'Pippin'

LONDON -- "Pippin," the seventies Broadway tuner smash having a score by Stephen Schwartz ("Wicked") and book by Roger O. Hirson is going to be elevated at London's Menier Chocolate Factory. Previews begin November. 22 in front of a 12 ,. 7 opening.The initial 1,944 performance Broadway run would be a signature work of director/choreographer by Bob Fosse. The brand new production will incorporate his choreography, but is going to be directed by Mitch Sebastian, who released his directorial career having a manufacture of the show in 1997 in the now defunct off-off West Finish venue The Bridewell.Created by Timothy Bird (Olivier award-champion for that Menier's "Sunday around the block With George") and lit by U.S. designer Ken Billington (Tony-champion for "Chicago"), the development is skedded to operate until February. 25, 2012.
